Volleyball Season is Here

Volleyball season is here and there is a lot of reasons to be excited for Greenfield this year.  The Lady Wildcats have 22 players on the roster this season, including five seniors who are ready to put their experience to the test. Senior players this season include: Lauren Jones, Kiarra Mai, Rendie Burns, Alyssa Kelty and Adreanna Garcia.

Many athletes worked towards reaching their season goals this summer by completing two weeks of camp, conducted by Coach Kemp and Coach Hull.  In addition to those camps, athletes participated in the Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp, the Bolivar Summer Tournament, and spent many days getting into playing shape by participating in the summer weights program, ran by their coaches.  When asked about her feelings about the the 2018 season, Coach Kemp responded by saying, "We are very excited about this season  and feel we have the skills to be highly competitive."

The volleyball team kicked off their season on August 28 at home against Thomas Jefferson. "The girls play their best with a good audience and we are all thankful to have a wonderful following of Greenfield fans," said Coach Kemp.  Be sure to come out to support your Lady Wildcats this year and remember to wear your blue.

Senior Night will be held Thursday, October 18th and will be held in conjunction with the annual "Pink Out Night", in an effort to raise money in support of local breast cancer patients.  Other games of note include; a home game August 30th against Ash Grove, a home game against Everton on September 11th, and an away game September 13th against Lockwood.
