On January 19, 2026, the Greenfield FCCLA chapter competed in the Region 11 STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) competition. Greenfield was represented by two teams and one individual, all of whom were first-time competitors.

Lakely and Lashay Brown presented the Chapter Service Project Display, with display design by Karlee Johnson and project implementation completed by FCCLA members and FCS Foods classes. Their presentation earned a Silver rating. Ezabella Vesco also received a Silver rating in the Job Interview event, where she researched qualifications for Restaurant Customer Service, prepared a professional portfolio, presented it to judges, and responded to interview questions.

The standout success of the day came from the Event Management team: Abigale Maxwell, Stormy Turnbough, and Layla Webb. Their project centers on planning and managing an upcoming community volleyball event scheduled for March 28 to raise funds and engage the community while building leadership, teamwork, and event management skills. The team created a comprehensive portfolio outlining all aspects of planning, implementation, and management and prepared an oral presentation explaining the portfolio and event. Their hard work earned them a Gold rating and the highest score in their category.
