Public Notice - September 28, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Greenfield R-IV personnel received information that two district employees have tested positive for COVID-19. Both individuals have been wearing masks since the start of school and any interactions with students have been conducted while social distancing.

Discussion with the Dade County Health Department is ongoing to implement contact tracing and for any additional guidance needed regarding the situation.  The Dade County Health Department will contact the parents/guardians of any student that requires quarantine.

The school district continues to remain in the yellow stage of the district's COVID-19 Plan.  Mask will continue to be provided to all students who do not have masks when boarding district transportation or any student grades 7-12 that do not have a mask.  Students at the Elementary School will be provided masks upon request.

Our goal is to keep our staff and students healthy while providing a safe and effective learning environment to the best of our ability.  For this goal to be achieved, we will need a concerted effort from staff, students, families, and our community.

Greenfield Schools needs your help in stopping the spread of the virus. Please keep your student home and contact your health care provider of they are feeling sick or showing signs/symptoms of COVID-19.  If your child has a fever, do not send them to school, even if the fever is controlled by medicine.

Sincerely,

Chris Kell

Superintendent
