6th Grade students working in small groups.

Mr. Moore's 6th Grade Social Studies class has been diving into the world of Ancient Greece and the people and personalities that make up the period. By working in small groups, students are not only learning about a prominent time period in history but also critical thinking, planning and facilitation, and communication skills. Each group is expected to prepare and share one section of the unit to the rest of the class. As a whole, the groups have shown great team work by dividing each presentation equally, thus allowing everyone in the group a chance to present and share their research and findings. The 6th Grade class is learning about more than Alexander the Great and famous Greek culture, but also skills that will benefit them as they continue their academic careers. Great job Mr. Moore and students! Keep up the good work!
