MO LEAP Testing

Dear Parent or Guardian:

Greenfield 4-6th grade students will begin the 2020-21 school year with a Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) learning assessment to see where their “gains and gaps” are in the learning curriculum.

The Missouri Learning, Engagement and Preparation (MO LEAP) program is being used as a resource for schools to analyze students' progress after a six-month break due to COVID-19.

MO LEAP is not a state mandated test, but is used as a resource to see where students are at academically. MO LEAP Assessments help teachers understand the progress that students made on the prior year’s standards and prepare for success. MO LEAP focuses on foundational skills that students need to learn and remediate. Then it goes back to the curriculum to reinforce skills that students may have missed.

Your 4-6th grade student will be taking this assessment September 23rd-September 25th.
