Grant received

Greenfield High School was a recipient of a $500 classroom grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation (MRTF) Classroom Grant Program. The MRT Foundation is the charitable arm of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel (MRTA). This year, there were 411 applications for 98 grants to be awarded. Marla Kemp, high school business teacher, was selected to receive the grant for her classroom out of 33 other area applicants. Goals for the grant proceeds are for increased student performance in Missouri Personal Finance standards, increased creativity for production in Computer Applications and Desktop Publications, and improved focus in a classroom environment conducive to learning. Classroom headsets will be purchased as well as scanner equipment for slideshow production and classroom calculators.
