Important Postponement and Announcements for April

Greenfield Wildcat Family,

We hope that everyone is staying healthy during this unprecedented time and know that you are missed here at the junior high and high school. Enrichment packets were available for students last week and we hope that the students have been able to complete those. If there are questions, teachers can be reached by email throughout the day. We will be having more enrichment packets available in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for the date to be announced. Also, sack lunches are being served daily from 11:30 A.M- 1:00 P.M in the circle drive at the elementary. These are free to all students enrolled within the Greenfield R-4 School District and include breakfast for the following day.

Along with instruction being adjusted, extra-curricular activities must be adjusted as well. With our Wellness Break being extended and our next day of school being April 28th, we will be postponing Prom until a later date. Also, spring sports practices and activities are canceled through April 28th. More information will be announced as we receive it.

We have received many phone calls and questions regarding credits for our high school students and how this break is going to affect graduation. As of now, we are waiting for guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) on how we are to handle this unique situation. Once this information is announced, we will inform the community of the decision to be made.

Thank you for your support and patience during the past few weeks. We are blessed with a great community and great students at Greenfield. Stay healthy and we will communicate with you as more information is available!

Yours in Education,

Mr. Hyde
