Greenfield Welcomes Mr. Fizette

The Greenfield R-IV School District welcomed Ben Fizette to the  faculty at the start of the 2020-2021 school year, where he has taken the reins of the district's Agriculture Department.

Mr. Fizette is originally from Gasconade County, MO and a graduate of Owensville High School.  In 2000, he graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. Degree in Agronomy and spent the next 2 decades working in the seed, chemical, fertilizer, and feed business for an independent grain elevator, MFA Inc., and Land O’ Lakes Inc.

Along the way,  Mr. Fizette and his wife started up their own farming operation and now raise grain, hay, and occasionally background a few feeder cattle on a 340-acre farm outside of Golden City, MO.

As a former high school FFA member, Mr. Fizette's desire to become a high school agriculture education teacher lead him  to earn a  M.S. Degree in Agriculture Education from Missouri State University, graduating in May of 2020.

This is Mr. Fizette's first year as a teacher.
