Greenfield R-IV personnel received information today that a faculty member working in the elementary school has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual has been masked at work and any interactions with students have been conducted while social distancing. Currently there are two active positive cases within our district, both involving faculty/staff members.
Discussion with the Dade County Health Department is ongoing to implement contact tracing and for any additional guidance needed regarding the situation. The Dade County Health Department will contact the parents/guardians if any students requires quarantine.
The school district continues to remain in the yellow stage of the district's COVID-19 Plan. Mask will continue to be provided to all students who do not have masks when boarding district transportation or any student grades 7-12 that do not have a mask. Students at the elementary school will be provided masks upon request.
Our goal is to keep our staff and students healthy while providing a safe and effective learning environment to the best of our ability. For this goal to be achieved, we will need a concerted effort from staff, students, families, and our community. Please keep your student home and contact your health care provider of they are feeling sick or showing signs/symptoms of COVID-19.
