The Greenfield Lady Wildcats concluded a busy week of action with a 3-3-2 record. The Lady Wildcats played 8 matches over the course of six days to mark their busiest week of the year. It was a week of great experiences, several being new. Coach Marla Kemp was excited for the week, stating "this will be a great week to build us as a team."

The week started with a triad at Pleasant Hope with Sheldon High School on Monday, September 10th. A triad is a volleyball match where a team can play 2 matches in one night. Coach Kemp stated, "I really liked a two game night for our girls. It lets us just keep playing right after a win." The Lady Cats started the night with 2-0 victory over Sheldon. The Lady Cats followed that match with a competitive 2-1 victory over Pleasant Hope.

On Tuesday, the Volley Cats hosted Class 2 opponent Lamar. The game started with a set one victory over the visiting Lady Tigers. The Lady Cats looked to be on their way to a sweep over Lamar, but saw a 17-11 lead slip away to force a third set. Trailing 18-14 in the third set, the Lady Wildcats battled back to score 12 of the last 18 points to defeat Lamar 26-24 in the third set.

On Thursday, September 13th, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Lockwood to face their rival. Greenfield struggled throughout the night, dropping both sets.

The Lady Wildcats finished their busy week with four matches at the Cabool Tournament on Saturday, September 15. Greenfield finished the day 0-2-2, but Coach Kemp praised the tournament as a learning experience and one that she wants to continue with in the future. "We didn't pull any wins, but were competitive in this tournament.  I hope we keep it on our schedule; it was good to play competitive teams outside our area." The Lady Cats played Salem (Class 3, L, 0-2), Ava (C2, T, 1-1), Mountain Grove (C2, L, 0-2), and Plato (C2, T, 1-1).

The Lady Wildcats continue this week with two homes against Jasper (9/18) and Exeter (9/20).
