The Greenfield HS Family and Consumer Sciences food classes recently prepared and sampled recipes using local lamb meat. The lamb was purchased through a grant from the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council and was supplied by Sunny Lane Farms of Lockwood. The purpose of the American Lamb Promotion is to give Missouri youth the opportunity to prepare, eat and promote American Lamb Meat. The focus and intent is to increase demand for lamb meat. During the unit students heard from local sheep producer Brett Lollar who talked about raising sheep for the market. Students also learned about humane processing of lamb as well as how lamb is cut for resale. The unit ended with students preparing and sampling Garlic Butter Lamb Chops and Lamb Tacos.

Third graders got to have some amazing experiences on their field trip to the Springfield Cardinals baseball game this week!

Tomorrow's baseball game against Fair Play has been canceled, we will try to reschedule.

All District Art Show
The all district art show is coming up on April 27 and 28 from 1-2 pm on each day. This will allow families more than one day to come look at the art and see who won a ribbon.
Both classrooms are getting ready to display their art in the art show. We are finishing up projects in the elementary art room. In the high school art room, students are exploring a new material: stained glass.

The softball game scheduled for Wednesday 5/1 against Verona has been canceled. We will not be able to reschedule this game.
