Third grade students have just started to learn about fractions. In order to help with understanding fractions, students were paired with one another and completed a hands-on activity. After students partitioned various objects into equal parts, they had a "fraction museum walk" around the room to observe other students' work. They had great discussions after the activity, which in turn will guide them to new skills in fractions. Basic math skills like understanding fractions, are crucial for everyone to master. From cooking and carpentry to sports and sewing, we can't escape factions in our daily lives!
Wildcat Academy and Parents as Teachers are hosting an early learners STEAM Night. Mark your calendars!

Due to winter weather, the Greenfield R-IV School District will be closed Friday, January 24th. This day will be made up on February 24th.
The Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams are rolling into another week of tournament play. Here are the brackets for the Stockton Invitational. GO BIG BLUE!
The Greenfield Lady Wildcats will be playing in the CHAMPIONSHIP game of the Golden City Tournament this evening, 1/18. Game time: 6:30pm. Get your Wildcat blue on and come cheer on our student athletes!

Due to winter weather in the area, there will be no school in Greenfield, Friday January 17th. This day will be made up on February 10th.
Second grade is learning about the artist James Rizzi and creating their own "Rizzi Cities". They are hard at work and showing such awesome creativity!

Lady Wildcats will be playing in the Semi-Final round of the Golden City Tournament this evening, 1/15.
Congratulations to the JH Boys Basketball team for their 1st round DOUBLE OVERTIME victory in the Eldo Junior High Tournament. The Wildcats beat Warsaw 36-33. The Junior High Boys are back in action on Saturday, check out the schedule and go catch a game!
