While reading the novel, “Hatchet,” 4th Grade Students have been completing STEM Challenges. The first was to build a plane that would float, the second was to build a shelter similar to the one in the novel. Fourth Grade's third challenge was to build a bow & arrow. Congratulations Jack Jones and Jesse Trantham for being declared STEM Challenge winners!

In honor of William Shakespeare’s 457th birthday, on April 23, 2021, Mrs. Morrison's English I students partied like it was 1564. They pinned the hat on The Bard, discussed some of his most-oft quoted lines, and designed cards for the birthday boy. Finally, students honored the life and work of Shakespeare by reading aloud poems of their own.

Kindness was blooming bright and early this morning at the Elementary. Students gathered in the gymnasium to connect their “Kindness Chains”they have been working on the last few weeks. Students wrote words of encouragement and affirmation on each chain link in hopes of being a source of benevolence for those reading it and to serve as a reminder that you can never go wrong by being kind.
Great job students and staff! #weare1
