This morning, 5/21, the HS Track Team will be hitting the road to Jeff City for State! The team will follow a short parade route on their way out of town. The bus will depart the HS at 10:00am, circle the square, and then head down in front of the elementary school. GO BIG BLUE!

6th Grade students had a change of scenery this morning as they traveled to the JH/HS buildings for Junior High Orientation. Students were graciously welcomed and hosted by school counselor, Mrs. Breedlove. Students had the opportunity to meet the Junior High teachers, select and sign up for next years classes, and take a guided NHS tour of the JH/HS buildings. Thank you Mrs. Breedlove for setting up a great day of orientation and preparing our next round of Junior High Wildcats.

Elementary students received quite the treat this morning as the High School Band traveled over to put on a concert. The band played an impressive selection of marches, traditional songs, and jazz. Great job band students and Mr. Elery!

In honor of William Shakespeare’s 457th birthday, on April 23, 2021, Mrs. Morrison's English I students partied like it was 1564. They pinned the hat on The Bard, discussed some of his most-oft quoted lines, and designed cards for the birthday boy. Finally, students honored the life and work of Shakespeare by reading aloud poems of their own.

Mrs. Jurgensmeyer and her students enjoy spending class time utilizing hands on experiments and activities. Recently, A&P students have spent their time blood typing while Chemistry students measure how many atoms they used to draw pictures along the sidewalk. Keep up the great work everyone!

Beautiful work, ladies!

Mrs. Jurgensmery's chemistry class had a little fun today by testing solubility rules by mixing chemicals. 🧪
