Preschoolers Are Not Ladybugs
This week has been such a busy week for us!! We are really good at keeping to a routine and following rules in school. The Number One rule in school is be safe.
This week we continued to read and learn about bugs. We read about fireflies, crickets and ladybugs. One story, Are You a Ladybug?, taught us about the lifecycle of a ladybug. We agreed we are not ladybugs, we like to jump, run, and have friends!! We also do not shed our skin, like to eat bugs or fly!!! Today, we read the story of the Grouchy Ladybug. We talked about feeling happy, feeling grouchy and being nice to fiends. We even practiced making grouchy faces and happy faces.
Each day this week, we met a new teacher who comes to our room. On Tuesday, we met Mr. Land, the librarian. He read us a story, that we really enjoyed listening to. On Wednesday, Mrs. Beeson came to sing with us. (I bet some of our parents remember her.). On Thursday, we met Coach Dobbs, we played Red Light, Green Light with her. Finally, on Friday we met Mrs. Jones, the art teacher. We are excited for her to visit us again with her special paints!!
